Responsibilities
People (use of interpersonal skills)
  • The children, your colleagues, the children's parents/caregivers and the members of the community.*your colleagues include...teaching staff, school and organisation leaders, other professional staff ( your peers).
  • Your family and friends (at the end of the day) 

Relationships
  • The relationships teachers have with their student in the early career is the one they have with their students.
  • Be vigilant about your relationships with children and young people.
  • You need to be alert to your interactions with the adults in this setting.

Note:
There are three ‘levels of reflection’ indicated by the questions: What? Why? For Whom? It is at the third level, when teachers ask; For whom? or Who is advantaged/disadvantaged?, that that they are questioning the moral and ethical implications of their practice. This third level of reflection is often known as ‘critical reflection’.
 
The South Australian Teachers Registration Board, which is responsible for registering teachers in our state, has a Code of Ethics which highlights three core values as underpinning the teaching profession; integrity, respect, and responsibility.

  • Steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. 
  • Make the right decisions

Responsibility
  • Organisation.
  • Punctuality .
  • Instilling responsibility into the students I teacher.
  • Commitment to student and teaching them in a way that they engage and relate to.
  • Updated on curriculum.

Respect
  • For student and staff etc.
  • Respecting ideas
  • Open environment where people can respect each others idea and provide feedback.
  • Creating an environment where everywhere is respectful.
